About me

I started my career in a 7th grade science classroom. I loved it, and it taught me something I've carried into every role since. The people closest to students, teachers, staff, families, are the ones doing the real work of keeping kids safe and helping them learn. My job has always been to give them better tools to do it.

From the classroom, I moved into district leadership at Hillsborough County Public Schools, the 8th largest school district in the nation, where I eventually led Customer Experience teams and oversaw major IT adoption initiatives for 250,000 end users. Moving to the EdTech side let me take that same background and serve districts across the country instead of just one. Sitting in almost every seat in K-12, as a teacher, district leader, solutions engineer, and now in product, gives me a grounded perspective on modern EdTech.

Today, I build product in K-12 student safety, focused on tools that help districts and families keep students safe and supported. I build with one question in mind. Does this actually help the people protecting kids do their job better? That's the work I care about, and it's the reason I've never really left the classroom behind.

That question doesn't stop when I close the laptop. My family is a big one, built partly through adoption, and life at home runs close to the same things I work on all day. My wife is a teacher, our world is a special-needs world, and for the past five years I've coached TOPSoccer, a soccer program for athletes with special needs. It's the same thing I care about at work in a different setting, meeting people right where they are and helping them do what they weren't sure they could.

Underneath all of it is my faith, which is where I first learned that ordinary people matter and that everyone is worth meeting right where they are. It shapes how I see the work, the people I build for, and the reason I think any of it counts.
